Taking Memory With Us: From the U.S. to Palestine

The ARTNAUTS (an art collective) come to Palestine from another part of the world to share visual experiences as members of a world community. Most of the artists in this exhibition are from the United States, but a few others are from Mexico.

We bring images of “social change” to help us all think about what is possible in the world. Some of our visual visions are personal, and others are more societal. Change is more or less important depending on where and how we are situated in a society. Thus, art about change in this exhibition varies.

What we envision for ourselves and others is part of memory. We take memory with us everywhere we go. Memory is sacred. We must remember that when we create the world daily with our actions as human beings tethered to a collective memory.
